Vagina Monologues
Em Abril de 2000, Alanis Morissette participou na peça "The Vagina Monologues" que esteve em cena durante duas semanas em Nova Iorque no Westside Theater. Foram duas semanas de bilheteiras esgotadas. "The Vagina Monologues", em Português "Os Monólogos da Vagina", é um espectáculo extraordinário baseado em centenas de entrevistas reais onde mulheres de todas as idades, nacionalidades e meios sociais/culturais falaram candidamente sobre as suas vaginas.
Hilariante, pungente, perturbante e chocante, Alanis
em conjunto com actrizes como Shirley Knight e Andrea Martin, apresentou
os monólogos sobre tópicos como "If your vagina could talk, what would
it say" ("Se a sua vagina conseguisse falar, o que diria"), "Reclaiming
the C word" ("Reivindicando a palavra C"), também conhecido por "Reclaiming
the Cunt", e outros temas cheios de loucura. Sobre o tópico de "Reclaiming
